‘The Friends’ are wholly independent of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and the wider church administration.

The Friends’ is authorised by the PCC to raise funds for the maintenance and preservation of the church building and its fabric. This does not include church activities or events. ‘The Friends’ will achieve its objectives by making donations to the PCC for specific repairs, maintenance and preservation projects.

It is established to engage with the entire community in seeking to ensure a strong and vibrant future for this historical treasure.

This group will ensure the continued upkeep of this ancient building to benefit the public and the wider community.

The aim is to encourage as many people as possible to become ‘Friends’ demonstrating community support.

This will enable the trustees and officers of ‘The Friends’ to apply for grants and so generate sufficient funds to pay for the necessary repairs.
